1. How does White PE differ from white film and paper calibration targets?
Custom White PE uses a matte polyethylene substrate with a laser-drawn black coating. White film and paper targets use inkjet printing. The PE version works with front lighting and diffuse reflection, while white film is better suited to backlight systems.
2. Can White PE reproduce color calibration patterns?
White PE supports black-and-white patterns. White film and paper are more suitable for color patterns. If a Custom PE Film design contains colored patches, confirm the required material and printing process before production.
3. Is adhesive backing included with every White PE target?
Adhesive backing is optional. Customers should specify whether adhesive is required and whether the target needs permanent or removable installation. The mounting surface should be clean, smooth and flat.
4. What is the maximum available size for a White PE target?
The maximum size is 1.5 m wide and 2.68 m long. A large Custom PE Sheet can cover wide-field inspection stations and large imaging areas, but it requires a flat supporting surface to prevent local deformation.
5. What drawing information is required for a custom White PE order?
The drawing should include the overall size, pattern dimensions, line widths, spacing, orientation, black-and-white polarity, tolerances and revision number. Free drawing digitization is available, and the final production drawing should be approved before manufacturing.
